Recently, some of our users told us they came across a Control Panel file name. Open Control Panel under Run. You can use the following steps to open Control Panel from the Run window. Enter the control and press Enter.

Windows 10 still contains Control Panel. Some settings appear only in Control Panel, some in the Settings app, and some in both. Here's how to find the Control Panel, which is a little more hidden than in Windows 7.

How do you find the Control Panel in Windows 10?

Click the "Start" button in the lower left corner to open the "Start" menu, type "Control Panel" in the search box and select "Control Panel" from the results. Method 2: Access control through the quick access menu. Press Windows + X or right-click in the lower left corner to open the shortcut menu, then select Control Panel.

In Windows 7, you can click the Start button and then Control Panel. In Windows 8 and 8.1, you can right-click the Start button or press Windows + X and select Control Panel. None of these methods work on the latest version of Windows.

However, launching Control Panel in Windows 10 is very simple: Click the Start button or the Windows key, type Control Panel in the search box on the Start menu, and press Enter. Windows looks for the Control Panel application and opens it.

If you use Control Panel frequently, right-click the Control Panel icon on the taskbar after launching it and select Pin to Taskbar. ... Then you can simply launch it from the taskbar.

You can also create a shortcut to the control panel on your desktop. Open the start menu, scroll through the list of applications on the leftdown and click the Windows system folder. Drag the "Control Panel" shortcut to the desktop.

There are other ways to launch Control Panel. For example, you can press Windows + R to open the Run dialog box. Then enter "Control" or "Control Panel" and press Enter.
