Is there a way to change the Windows 8 Start Menu to Classic View?

If you notice that you are changing the Windows 8 Start Menu to Classic View, the following guide may help you.

  1. Open the Start menu by clicking Win or the Start button.
  2. Click Programs, select Classic Shell, then Start Menu Options.
  3. Go to the Style tab in the Start menu and make your changes.



The blue perception of Windows 8 by many computer users can be attributed, at least in part, to one special trait that we humans have, and that is our obsession with improvement.

Improving our party has been a staple of nearly all of human history, so it's no surprise that Microsoft couldn't help when it was time to update their system. An operating system is an operating system that we have all learned to work professionally over the past 20 years.

Step 1. MadeBack up your personal files by dragging and dropping them from the right edge of the screen and choosing Search. Enter your file history settings, click on the results and follow the instructions to back up.

Step 3. Select the free update for Windows 8.1 and then download. Let the update continue and complete. Then restart your computer and connect.

Step 4. Scroll down to "When I sign in or close all applications on one screen, go to the desktop instead of Start" and check the box. Click on OK.

The next time you restart your computer, the thumbnail-based page will be skipped and you will instead launch a Windows 7-style desktop. Hooray for the Luddits.

Tip. If you are on the desktop page, check the Windows 8.1 Windows icon in the lower left corner. It's kind of a launch button, and when you click on it, you switch between the mosaic home page and the classic adorable desktop page.

Run The Application Page

If you also offend a violation In the Windows 8 environment, you may have noticed that the home page - with all the new tiles - is missing all the apps that you have thoroughly researched and downloaded.

The complete list of applications is on the Applications page, not the Start page. You can open the Applications page by clicking the Windows 8.1 Down arrow in the lower left corner of the Windows 8.1 home page if you want to view this page.

Step 4. Scroll down to the "Automatically show applications on startup" dialog box and check the box. Click on OK.

The next time you click the Windows icon in the lower left corner of your desktop, switch to Applications instead of Start. This is an improvement.
